Bubbles & Hugs

BUBBLES & HUGS | Some days, managing toddler emotions feels like negotiating with a tiny, emotional tornado. That’s why I love using the Basic, Maximize Love, Manage Stress in simple everyday moments.

Recently, we took things outside with bubbles, sidewalk chalk, and a lot of big feelings. We started by blowing bubbles together and practicing slow, deep breaths to make the biggest bubbles possible. It instantly shifted the mood and helped Titus slow down and reset.

Next, I asked him to pick the chalk color that made him feel happiest. Such a small question, but it opened the door for him to connect emotions with expression. He proudly chose blue and covered the sidewalk in happy scribbles.

We ended our little activity with a five second hug. Just enough time to pause, reconnect, and remind him that comfort and love are always available.

Sometimes stress management doesn’t look fancy. Sometimes it looks like bubbles, chalk dust, and toddler hugs.
